'I believe that Health Management went above and beyond their level of service which was very much appreciated - thank you'

HR manager, Telecommunications Company

We know our business – just like any other – has an impact on local, regional and global ecosystems.

We want to minimise that impact as much as possible. So that’s why we’ve integrated sustainable practices into every aspect of our organisation – which includes our dealings with our customers, suppliers and business partners.

We’ve created this policy in line with The Ten Principles set out in the United Nations Global Compact.

Promoting our environmental policies and practices

We buy products and services that cause the least amount of harm to the environment. Where possible, we work with suppliers who adapt their policies and procedures to be more carbon neutral, environmentally friendly and socially sustainable, who are compliant with all legislation and hold exemplary records for safe and healthy workplaces and anti-corruption measures.

Saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint

Every year, we measure our greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact – and aim to reduce it even further the following year. We develop innovative ways of working to reduce our impact.

Recycling and avoiding waste

We educate our employees and encourage our suppliers, business partners and customers to respect the environment by using electronic formats or buying products that have minimal or biodegradable packaging. Where possible, we use local suppliers, to reduce transport pollution

Proactive social responsibility

We make our policies as inclusive as possible – and this extends to everything we do, including:

  • Recruitment processes
  • Training and development
  • Flexible working hours
  • Reasonable adjustment policies
  • Buy products that are “fairtrade”, ethically sourced or from sustainable resources
  • Work with suppliers that are local, SMEs and/or minority owned
  • Use water suppliers who work closely with wateraid

Measuring our success

We monitor these objectives every year – and make changes to any discrepancies that crop up.
