Pre Employment Health Questionnaires

About 5-10% of all new joiners will have some medical complication. A Pre Employment Health Questionnaire (“PEHQ”) helps you identify health problems early on and protect those with issues such as diabetes, epilepsy, hypertension etc.

You also protect yourself. Under the Disability Discrimination Act, it is required that employers are aware of an employee’s disability and make appropriate adjustments to their working environment. A PEHQ is the most cost effective way for you to meet your obligations in relation to the Disability Discrimination Act.

We tailor our PEHQs to the issues most relevant to your employees and your working environment. This means each client has a tailored PEHQ appropriate to their risks, thereby reducing the administration costs incurred by your HR department and our Clinical Services Team.

Typically, an offer of employment will be subject to a medical review. The applicant will complete the PEHQ and send it directly to us. We review the PEHQ and within 48 hours either issue a ‘certificate of fitness’ or recommend any action as a result of their assessment. For employers hiring many people on short notice, alternative structures can be put in place.
