Job Purpose

Responsible for the provision of occupational health services on site for 5 days per week, Monday – Friday

Specific Responsibilities

The objective is to deliver a high quality and consistent occupational health service to existing and new client

• Effective provision of OH medical services to the organisation

• Liaison with the HR contact on a regular basis to ensure standards and requirements are met

• Attending Health and Safety Meetings on a regular basis to ensure all issues are raised and addressed appropriately

• Case Management of short, medium and long term absence cases, both face to face and on the telephone, including return to work rehabilitation programmes and support

• Triaging cases to the OH Physician as appropriate

• Monitoring sickness absence and recording outcomes

• Screening Pre Employment Questionnaires indicating pre medicals if required

• Health Education and promotion including workshops, presentations and activities to encourage well being within the employee group

• Carrying out Work Station Assessments as required by clients on an ad hoc basis, producing reports and recommendations in line with HML procedures

• Telephone Support to Line Managers regarding Occupational         

         Health issues within the teams or with individuals

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification in Occupational Health (Diploma/Degree) or at least 3 years experience in Occupational Health
• NMC Accredited
• To be confident with Presentation Skills/Ability to use PowerPoint
• IT Literate
