Requirement:
Rebuild confidence in an OH service, provide clear helpful advice to managers and reduce the overall cost of sickness absence. In particular, resolve some of the long term sick cases that were never properly managed.
Our solution:
Health Management set up a series of implementation meetings in London and regionally to brief more than 30 HR managers on the new service, documentation and processes and to answer any concerns.
Subsequently we established quarterly review meetings and provided comprehensive Management Information. Regular case conferences take place to constantly review those off sick.
Management reports are provided and a dedicated Customer Service Manager is available to assist with any issues that arise between meetings.
All documentation and processes have been customised to meet the specific needs of the client.
Outcome:
Our Client has seen a significant reduction in Average Working Days Lost since we started providing OH services iin December 2008. Although staff numbers are over 10,000, we have been able to reduce AWDL by 18%, a saving our client says is worth at least £1 million pa.
