Investment Bank
Requirements:
A cost effective health education and promotion programme for a major investment house in London with administrative staff based throughout the south east. We wanted this to have a lasting impact, with opportunity for follow up and easy engagement with specialist health advice.
Our Solution:
We provided a series of services, that continue to run many years after they were introduced. They are constantly being improved and relaunched, to keep them fresh and fun.
1. Health web site
We developed a website for the organisation, which greatly reduces the time employees need to spend researching topics themselves and provides:
- Up to date information regarding OH, general health, welfare and lifestyle issues
- Links to further resources of reliable medical information online
2. Employee telephone support
OH Direct is a telephone service created to support employees without access to an on-site nurse advisor but who need a facility to self refer to a qualified clinician without contacting their GP. OH Direct also helps employees who are concerned about their general state of health or those experiencing difficulties coping with their work due to health problems.
This service is specifically designed to complement and not replace any need for counselling and welfare services.
3. Face to face wellness screening
We provide annual consultations for staff on a voluntary basis, so that they have time to discuss any health issues with a specialist nurse advisor. Staff also receive a comprehensive health assessments, with their bio metric data from year to year, a cardio vascular risk assessment and comparisons with a benchmark.
Additional support:
Health Management has also advised the organisation on their Pandemic Contingency Plan, ensuring:
- Sufficient stocks of Tamiflu vaccines were purchased and stored for all employees
- Clear procedural guidelines were established on how to access the supply and under what circumstances
This proved so successful that Health Management has subsequently been approached by a number of other major UK businesses to provide the same service.
